August Filming of Teaser Visual Aides
In August,
Rich Robinson, Neil Moore, and Tim Allison
will be producing and shooting three visual teaser aides for
three of their feature film properties. "The
Colony", "Dead by Dawn", and "an
unannounced kids thriller". Construction of the
full scale animatronic beast for "The Colony" is underway
and headed up by creature artist Aaron Beck. |

NEIL MOORE

Neil Moore
received his artistic and technical training in both
his native state of North Carolina, attending the
NCSA film program, and in an elite film university
in Budapest, Hungary, being the first American to be
accepted into the program. Neil has worked
extremely close with many talented Directors and
fellow Cinematographers, including
Vilmos Zsigmond,
ASC (Close
Encounters of the Third Kind),
mentor László Kovács, ASC
(Easy Rider),
and Academy Award winning director,
Aaron Schneider, ASC
(Academy Award winning short
Two Soldiers).
Neil has shot a number of film festival winning
shorts, including 73
Virgins (NY Film
Festival winner),
The Jogger
(Houston WorldFest winner), and
Jungle Putt
(Austin Film Festival winner). Moore finished
shooting the recent feature film
Montclair, which
shot in both New Jersey and New York City. In
addition, Neil has recently finished shooting
stunts, explosions, car crashes, and gun play for
the feature called Eyeborgs, an action/horror
film filmed in North
Carolina. Neil currently resides in Los
Angeles.

RICH ROBINSON

Rich Robinson is an independent
filmmaker whose debut feature, titled
Marcus,
is available on DVD through
Polychrome Pictures,
Warner Home Video
and CinemaVault.
An award winning thriller that pushes the boundaries
of independent film production proving that quality
films can be produced and sold on a low budget.
He began his studies in animation and photography at
the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA.
He's also an alumni from the North Carolina School
of the Arts-School of Filmmaking.
Robinson has formed his production company with Neil
Moore called Backwoods Entertainment. It's a company
specializing in upscale film and video production,
commercials, music videos and much more.
Robinson has received several remarkable reviews and
interviews on many horror websites and such
magazines as Fangoria
and Rue Morgue.
He has worked with many influential filmmakers from
the horror genre like
George A. Romero,
Tom Savini,
and Joesph Zito.
Rich lives in North Carolina with his wife,
Laura,
and daughter, Natalie. |

TIM ALLISON
Associate / Illustrator / Writer
Tim Allison
is a graduate of the tech college Full Sail for film
and video production. He developed his skills
in production working for
The Pamplin Film Company
under the supervision of
Rick Pamplin
writer of Kindergarten
Cop and writer/director
of
Hoover
starring
Ernest Borgnine
and director of the comedy film
Michael Winslow Live
star of the
Police Academy
franchise. From there Tim went on to become Vice
President of video production for West Gate Resorts
in Orlando, Florida. West Gate Resorts is the
largest time-share condominium franchise in the
Sunshine State. While advancing his placement in the
film and video industry, Tim was constantly honing
his skills as an illustrator. Drawing with his
unique and quirky style, Tim found that his artwork
opened many doors into the film industry which
ultimately introduced him to Rich Robinson and Neil
Moore; founders of Backwoods Entertainment. |

AARON
BECK
Creature Artist / SPFX / Makeup
Artist
Aaron Beck
has been sculpting for 15 years. Originally
aspiring to become a sculptor for the toy industry,
Aaron ultimately decided to pursue a career creating
creatures for film. Aaron received his
education in Tom Savini's
Special Makeup Effects Program at
Douglas Education Center
in Monessen, PA., where he was mentored by industry
professionals with film and TV credits such as
Silence of the Lambs,
Kill Bill,
Passion of the Christ,
The Lion the Witch and the
Wardrobe, Buffy the
Vampire Slayer (TV),
The X-Files
(TV), and
Babylon 5.
While attending the program, photos of Aaron's work
appeared in advertisements for the Savini Program
published in Fangoria Magazine,
and upon graduation, Aaron was awarded the
Tom Savini Certificate of
Excellence. Aaron has been crafting
creatures and illusions for Backwoods Entertainment
projects currently in development since early 2008.

GEORGE SHAW
Film Composer / Conductor / Musician

George Shaw is a rapidly rising
composer who has worked on Hollywood and independent
films. He is a versatile composer with the skill for
crafting rich orchestral tapestries as well as
producing cutting edge sounds to match the visual
images in movies. George recently received
3 best score nominations
for the 2007 Film & TV
Music Awards, won
Best Music in a Short
at the Garden State Film
Festival Movie Music Competition,
and 5 Gold Medals
at the Park City Film
Music Festival.
In addition to composing, Shaw has
orchestrated on a number of films, including
GHOST RIDER
(starring Nicolas Cage),
DARWIN AWARDS
(starring Winona Ryder,
Joseph Fiennes),
KISS, KISS, BANG, BANG
(starring Val Kilmer,
Robert Downey Jr.),
ROBOTECH: THE SHADOW CHRONICLES,
and CHASING GHOSTS
(starring Michael Madsen).
George's string arrangements and orchestrations can
also be heard on Nural’s
debut album “The Weight
of the World” from
Hopeless Records, and singer/songwriter
Kari Kimmel’s
first solo album “A Life
in the Day.”
George studied composition and
film scoring at the
University of Southern California Thornton School of
Music, taking part in
its world-class Scoring for Motion Pictures and
Television program. He also participated in the 2004
ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop
and the 9th Annual BMI
Conducting Workshop.
George plays clarinet, piano, guitar, and a variety
of exotic woodwind instruments from around the
world.

LAURA ROBINSON
Associate / Affiliate / Camera Department
Laura has been working behind the camera for ten
years. She started out running camera for the
evening news at an ABC affiliate.
She then studied cinematography while
attending the North Carolina School of the Arts,
gaining hands on experience with film and video
under the instruction of professional cameramen.
Upon completion she received her BFA and moved out
to Los Angeles.
Laura spent four years there
working in the camera department on a variety of
projects, including reality
TV Shows for ABC,
CMT,
and TLC
and independent feature
films. She has also
worked on national commercials like
Cingular and
Toys R Us. She has worked with such
talent as Danny Glover,
Emilio Estevez,
Kirk Douglas,
Emile Hirsch,
Beau Bridges,
and Britney Spears.
She now resides in North
Carolina where she worked on the feature film
Eyeborgs and a number of commercials.

BOB HARDISON
Associate / Director / Writer
Bob Hardison was born and raised in the small
rural town of Williamston, North Carolina. He
graduated from NCSA School of Filmmaking in 2000,
and is working on several projects with a focus on
character driven horror and gritty southern tales.
He also writes comedy scripts, adaptations, and
country western songs. He currently has
optioned Sweetwater Creek (co-written with Rich Robinson) to Backwoods
Entertainment. Bob now resides in Charleston,
South Carolina. |
